When the Boats Come In.....

October will bring creativity, colour and design to Cairns in the form of wonderful window displays throughout the central business distict. The Cairns Regional Council has invited  artists and artisans to showcase their work in the city shopfronts to welcome the arrival of a significant population of tourists. The Pacific Sun, the Orion and Rhapsody of the Seas will dock in Cairns port during the month of October and bring thousands of visitors to enjoy the sites and surrounds of Cairns City. The cultural flavour of the community and wealth of talent will not go unnoticed . I am a local resident and I am really inspired by this great initiative. I will look forward to learning more of the outcomes following this spring event and would love to read comments from participating artists, locals and visitors.
